  1. In India, Gauri is one of the few Apsarasa known by an individual name.
  2. Also, she is listed twice, as Gauri and Mahagauri among the yoginis of the Kalika Purana.
  3. Among the many goddesses connected with Durga, there is one mamed Jagadgauri.

  4. In Tibet, Gauri is the not only the alternative name for the fierce Kerima (a white-skinned dakini carrying a skull cup and a human corpse), but also an alternative name for the complete group of eight dakinis collectively known as either Kerima or Gauri.
